Privacy Policy

Occrr Jobs (“we”, “us”) connects people looking for part-time, shift and flexible work with local businesses, inside Telegram (@OccrrJobs_bot) and as a web app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is part of Occrr, which also runs Occrr Dating and Occrr Matrimony. Your work profile is completely separate from those: businesses never see your dating or matrimony profile.

What we collect

• Your account details: if you use Telegram, your Telegram user ID, username and language; if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID, email address and first name. This is the same Occrr account you may also use for Occrr Dating, Matrimony or Jobs, but each service keeps its own profile.
• Phone verification: when you share your phone number through Telegram, we keep a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of it to stop duplicate accounts, and the number itself in encrypted form. It is never shown on your profile. Only the Occrr team can view it, for safety, support and legal requests, and every view is recorded.
• Your work profile (if you look for work): first name, date of birth (only your age is shown), city, area, skills, languages, whether you have a two-wheeler, when you are free, and a few lines about you.
• Your business details (if you hire): business name, type, city, area, full address, GSTIN if you give it, and a short description.
• Job posts: title, pay, hours, shifts, openings, duties and requirements.
• Activity: jobs you save and apply to, notes you add to applications, application status (applied, seen, shortlisted, hired or not selected), trial shift invitations and replies, blocks and reports.
• Messages between a business and a shortlisted applicant. The Occrr team can access conversations to keep the service safe, for example to investigate reports, scams, safety problems or legal requests. Every access is recorded.
• Technical information: error reports, your browser or device type, and messages you send to our support.

How we use it

• To show you jobs that fit your city and the times you are free, and to show businesses the people who apply.
• To review every job and business before a job goes live, and to keep out scams, especially jobs that ask for money.
• To deliver applications, messages and trial shift invitations, and to send you notifications through our Telegram bot.
• To keep the service safe: verifying accounts, reviewing reports, and removing fake businesses and people under 18.
• To fix problems and improve the service.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

What other people can see

• A business you apply to sees your first name, age, city and area, skills, languages, whether you have a two-wheeler, when you are free, your about text and the note you add. Businesses you have not applied to cannot see your work profile.
• Job seekers see your business name, type, city, area and description, and your job posts. Your full address is shown only to applicants you shortlist, so they know where to come.
• Messages are only between a business and an applicant it has shortlisted.
• Phone numbers are never shown in Occrr Jobs. Share yours in a chat only if you choose to.

Where your information is stored

Your data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase in Mumbai, India. The app runs on Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

• Your work profile, business, job posts, applications and chats are kept while you use Occrr Jobs.
• Closed jobs and their applications are kept so both sides can see the history, until you delete your Jobs data.
• Encrypted backups of the database are kept for up to 14 days so we can recover from mistakes or outages.
• Error reports are deleted after 30 to 90 days.

Your choices and rights

• Edit or pause your work profile, or edit your business details, at any time in the app.
• Withdraw an application or close a job at any time.
• Delete your Jobs data yourself at any time: Profile → Delete my Jobs data. This removes your work profile, business, job posts, applications and chats. Your Occrr account and any other Occrr service you use stay as they are.
• Ask for a copy of your information or a correction by messaging @OccrrJobs_bot.
• Raise a complaint (grievance) with us through @OccrrJobs_bot. We aim to reply within 7 days.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls and secret keys that only our servers hold. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong Telegram password and two-step verification.

Age

Occrr Jobs is only for people aged 18 and over. We remove profiles that appear to belong to someone younger.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app or through our bot before the change takes effect.
